An anime series based on the popular Game Boy game "Pocket Monsters" in which children raise a pocket monster and train it to fight other monsters. In this show, Ash and his Pokemon, Pikachu, travel the land hoping to improve their skills and eventually become the grand champions.
Octillery resembles a cross between an octopus and a tank. It has a red body, multiple tentacles (the front tentacles are used to manipulate objects while the rear tentacles serves no purpose besides stability), a turret-like mouth, a row of three yellow protrusions, and a pair of white slanted eyes that appears to make Octillery look sad. Octillery's tentacles are armed with yellow suction cups.

Octillery mostly makes its home within holes and other underwater crevasses. It attacks its foes with ink that can blind them which doubles as a defensive tactic to deter predators. In addition, Octillery will use its tentacles to latch onto foes before knocking them out with a strong headbutt. The ink that Octillery sprays has been coveted in the Alola region as a cooking ingredient.
